My Journey So Far

I graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science from Heriot-Watt University Malaysia, where I discovered a passion for coding, risk analysis, and structured problem-solving.

My career began at NielsenIQ as a Data Processing Specialist, where I developed technical proficiency in Excel pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and gained foundational knowledge in ETL pipelines regarding the FMCG industry.

I then transitioned into the insurance industry as a Motor Underwriter at Liberty General Insurance Malaysia. There, I was responsible for risk assessment, reporting, and supporting merger-related activities, which is an experience that sharpened both my technical and collaborative skills.

Motivated to grow beyond traditional roles, I left my corporate job to pursue a full-time Master’s in Data Science at University of Malaya. Through this program, I’ve gained hands-on experience in big data, natural language processing (NLP), and machine learning, which has significantly expanded my ability to work with real-world data and build intelligent solutions.

Alongside my studies, I began refining my skills in writing and digital content, which led me to explore SEO and undertake coaching with renowned blogger Aisha Preece.

Today, I’m actively exploring the intersection of data science, blogging, and digital marketing—blending analytical thinking with creativity to deliver content, insights, and tools that educate and empower.
